It was a great pleasure for me working with bigger companies and governments on their social media strategies and campaigns. Today I ask myself the question: Don’t small and medium businesses deserve to have this kind of attention from digital experts? And if so, will these businesses and startups be able to afford such services?

It is indeed expensive for SMBs and startups to hire the top notch agencies to take care of their social media and digital channels and therefore this becomes secondary or off these businesses priority list to hire an agency for these purposes.  On the other hand, there are some budget agencies which do their best to provide a good service, however, they fall behind in recruiting reliable and efficient employees to do the right job and anticipate challenges.

Nonetheless, digital media (social media, SEOs and so on) has become crucial in raising brand awareness, generating leads and having an integrated and well-connected business in 2017. We all search for the reviews of a restaurant, hotel, ice-cream shop or an online shop before we visit and sometimes we go a step further to check the reviews on their Facebook page and see the level of their interaction with their clients.

All these factors, play a very important role in the success of any business, whether it is a food and beverage, perishables or services: A client want to make her/his choice based on other clients’ experiences in order to invest their time, effort and money in your business. From here, digital management agencies need to realize that there are great opportunities to grasp with SMBs and startups and it is a win-win situation for both parties.
